Are you an inquisitive and analytical mind? Are you passionate about disrupting an industry and establishing new operating models? Do you have the patience to map out the landscape surrounding you and really understand your clients?

Vastari Exhibitions is an online platform that matches touring exhibitions with hosting museums and venues. This product is pioneering an industry that typically operates offline, therefore, the platform is complemented with direct marketing services.

This new role will be in charge of gathering data on hosting institutions and selling exhibitions from the current online portfolio of Vastari Exhibitions. It requires a business development professional with a data driven approach who is able to see patterns,map out an industry and find new opportunities.

The candidate should be comfortable in liaising with an international network of museums or have experience with non-profit institutions.


Key responsibilities:

  • Finding suitable buyers for exhibitions

  • Generate new business from outbound internet research

  • Liaise with existing venue clients

  • Be able to spot new opportunities with existing business

  • Create and execute a target-focused business development strategy

  • Find, contact and engage venue leads

  • Understand client needs and requirements


Skills required:

  • Comfortable with cold-calling

  • Process-oriented and goal-focussed

  • Ability to prioritise high amounts of information and tasks

  • Proficiency in the English language

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills

  • Active listener

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Apps

  • Knowledge of the museum industry would be extremely beneficial

  • Equivalent sales or business experience


The ideal candidate must be:

  • Comfortable working with international contacts in different time zones

  • Comfortable working in a team as well as independently


Salary: £20,000 - £30,000 depending on experience

The first round of interviews will be held by phone and successful candidates will be invited for an assessment centre on Saturday 14 October 10 am to 6 pm.
